Hurrah for Huddart!

Shapwick Runner, Sarah Huddart, has raised £520 for Bridgwater Foodbank. Sarah, who won the club London Marathon place earlier in the year, took up the 2.6 challenge midway through her training when she heard the marathon was almost certain to be delayed. She set herself the target of raising £10 per marathon mile but ended up just about doubling it! To do so, she ran four lots of 5 miles, and, yesterday, did the final 6.2 miles. What a brilliant achievement! Sarah, who lives in Cossington, said 'lots of club members joined me in the distance 'virtually' and said she was 'blown away by the support'. She also mentioned that in all she ran 400 miles in training from the 1 January 2020, with her staged marathon taking 4 hours 26 mins 20 seconds. Adding - 'if only !' and now 'roll on October for the actual 2020 London Marathon!'
