My name is Jo. I started running about 10 years ago from couch to 5k! And I loved it so much that I went up to 10K for two events, and then onwards to complete two Great runs (North at half marathon distance, and South at 10 miles).
I had a brief rest from running after that but recently have started to run exclusively outdoors (as opposed to a running machine in a gym as I did previously). I need running for my well being - it completely helps me to feel better and helps me with regards fitness and positive mental strength. It’s a very sociable sport as well as one that you can do alone - when you need the time to yourself and the surroundings of our beautiful countryside.
